The Angels won against the Rays recently, but they are facing a very disappointing season overall. Placing dead last in the AL West, the Halos are at 34-50, only 11 ½ games from a spot in the postseason. And that’s with Mike Trout having another season of being almost superhuman.

Recently, the Angels made the announcement that the lefty C.J. Wilson will need to have shoulder surgery, ending his season. The club announced that C.J. needs surgery to repair fraying on his rotator cuff and labrum.

Wilson’s shoulder trouble prevented him from pitching this season, even during spring training. He pitched last on July 28th last season in a big-league game.
