Shanshan Feng, the top Chinese golfer, will compete at the Rio Games, regardless of the concerns over the Zika virus. Feng says that she is afraid for the future of this sport in the Olympics because of the withdrawal of so many high-profile men from the competition.

This is the first time that golf has been part of the Olympics since 1904, and now it faces massive pullouts by a number of top male golfers, which included world’s number one Jason Day, Charl Schwartzel of South Africa, and Rory McIlroy.

When the concerns about the Zika virus became known, Lee-Anne Pace, from South Africa, was the first female golfer to withdraw from the Rio Olympics.
