Previously it was Kobe… now Obama? The president of the United States of America has finally explained why he no longer wishes to play basketball. This announcement came after Kobe also admitted to his fear of playing the game, especially the highly competitive matches. This shows that President Obama is not the only one who retired from playing basketball because of the fear of getting injured.

During a phone call with Cleveland Cavs coach Tyronn Lue, Obama revealed that he stopped playing basketball about two years ago. The main reason behind this was the fear of possible traumas.

Obama and basketball

In the previous years, Obama was a regular in pick-up games. Many people were surprised by the fact that he was actually a very good player: he once shared a match with LeBron, Dwyane Wade, Magic Johnson, D-Rose, and Carmelo Anthony.

As of right now, it seems that the days when Obama used to play basketball are over. On the other hand, there are reports which state that the President wants to own an NBA team − something Obama plans to do after he is no longer the leader of the United States.
