So, Katy Perry happens to like football now?
The “Roar” singer tweeted about her newfound love during the weekend: “Ahh, Sunday…Nothing but sitting on the couch, watching my new favorite sport…[football emoji].”
The cheeky tweet came after multiple reports of her being set to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show. There have been other rumored performers as well: Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Coldplay, and even a Grammy winner Rihanna.
Now she is not only watching football in her spare time, but also making some comments about an appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay.
Katy was noted saying that she isn’t the type of person who would pay to play at the Super Bowl. This comment was made after an article in the Wall Street Journal stated that the NFL had requested that all musicians now pay the league in order to play during their halftime show. Later, NFL spokeswoman denied the fact that performers are required to pay an upfront fee.
Perry managed to ride into the stadium riding a large, golden lion while she sang “Roar”. Wasn’t that quite a show? Like the article if you are of the same mind and check out our reports on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson almost ending up in the UFC and Keith Yandle’s new business deal.
