Georges St-Pierre’s ongoing contract issue with the UFC has been the reason for some uproar.
The Canadian MMA star declared that he was now a free agent and didn’t have any contract obligations with the UFC. However, these claims were argued over by the UFC, saying that he is still very much under a contract.
Canadians aren’t pleased with the news and have threatened to boycott the UFC 206 in Toronto because of it.
Before St-Pierre’s crazy announcement, he was rumored to promote the event and even expressed his interest in a rematch with Nick Diaz.
UFC 206 currently highlights a light heavyweight championship rematch between Anthony Johnson and Daniel Cormier, however, the main event is seriously lacking star power.
