Derek Jeter was recently ticketed by the U.S. Airforce when he entered a restricted area with his boat. But in this case, an officer who is a Boston Red Sox fan, decided to use the opportunity to post it on his Facebook page.

However, this action turned out to not be consistent with the values of the Air Force, and the airman responsible will face suitable disciplinary action. He also apologized to Mr. Jeter for the inconvenience.

Jeter, a 2014 retiree from the MLB, owns a 30,000 square-foot, seven bedroom mansion along Davis Islands’ eastern shore, which is northeast of the boundary with MacDill, if traveling on water. While signs are present 1000 meters out from the MacDill shore, it can be easy to drift into restricted water and boaters are often cited by security forces there.
